| dc.description.abstract | Translation has become worldwide popular ever since people are in the need to comprehend different contexts apart from their national language. As a result, translation skill has been considered as a mandatory for linguistic learners all over the world, especially in Vietnam to obtain essential skills for a qualified translation. While on the subject translation, this research study aims to investigate the most common errors regarding dependent clauses that students usually make when translating texts from Vietnamese to English as well as provide them with clear explanations of possible causes and supportive recommendations for enhancing these flaws. The research scope is FPT University, HCMC campus in terms of 100 randomly English-major students regardless of their year batches. Besides, quantitative methodology is approached to conduct questionnaires for participants, providing precise data and percentages for each type of mistakes in specific statistical tables or diagrams. Based on the findings of the study, reasonable elucidations are presented, giving supportive conclusions that benefit not only students but also teachers so that they can refer and improve their learning and teaching for Vietnamese-English translation skills in the future. | en_US |
