Restructuring Vinashin: Symmetric information on the enterprise's business is needed

Abstract: Vietnamese Abstract: Trong nhiều tháng qua, vấn đề khủng hoảng tại Tập đoàn Công nghiệp Tàu thủy Việt Nam (Vinashin) liên tục là tâm điểm của các hệ thống truyền thông, giới nghiên cứu chính sách, cộng đồng kinh doanh và đông đảo quần chúng nhân dân. Những sai phạm tại Vinashin cần được xử lý nghiêm khắc, từng cá nhân sẽ phải nhận trách nhiệm đầy đủ, song việc quan trọng hơn hết là tái cấu trúc lại ngành công nghiệp tàu thủy Việt Nam. Với lợi ích quốc gia được đặt lên hàng đầu, tỉnh táo phân tích thực trạng Vinashin với các số liệu trung thực và công khai để xây dựng các giải pháp, kịch bản phục hồi là việc trọng yếu, và cần được ưu tiên đặc biệt vào lúc này..

English Abstract: The Group of Vietnamese Shipbuilding Industry (Vinashin) has feel into crisis due to management and administrative mistakes. However, the mass media has paid the most attention to the violations by Vinashin and not remarked the most important task which is finding effective solutions for re-structuring this significant industry. This article exposes some principal issues to be addressed, such as how to ensure confidence of the people and business partners, to reallocate resources, to operate the systems of the business; and to guide the mass media in information provision. One of the paramount matters is providing symmetric information which can contribute to resolving the current difficulties of Vinashin.
