The “Mistake Chasing Games” on Mobile Device

Abstract

Today, programming skills are becoming ever more important, quickly turning into the core competency for all kinds of 21st Century workers. Programming is what makes a computer more than just a simple pocket calculator. Everything that people can do today on a computer, someone had to be programmed at one point. For every individual who is learning to code, knowing a programming language is good, but mastering one is better. Naturally, newly minted developers are less desirable than experienced ones for employers. Those inescapable facts are leading programmers to seek out new ways of to improve themselves; one of the skills that are essential to all developers is how to detect bugs in source codes. But this skill can only be learn by practicing programming, and in a traditional way this can be a long and boring process. People need more motivation as well as fun when practicing a programming language. Based on this idea, we developed a game to where programmers can find source code with mistakes. The players will need to find all existing mistakes in the source code, locating the mistake positions and define the mistake categories. During playing, programming skills of programmers will be improved
