Abstract

Durian (Durio ziberthinus) was called king of fruits. This is a kind of tropical fruit that many people like it. So, grow durian bring highly of economic efficency than many kind of fruit. In VietNam, durian grown in mainly South-east, Mekong Delta area and some area in the Highlands, central part. Durian is kind of fruit abundant in nutrients and bring highly econimic effeciency for grower. However, cultivated surface are limited, the quality of durian also not good, lack of technical information and processing to collect not clear. So the author group decide to choose topic about evaluate feasibility of Musang King durian – a variety is originated in Malaysia, have characteristic suitable with climate in VietNam. to analysis and assess quality of new product when applied in VietNam market. As food commodity are delicious and nutritious, many consumers preferred, with markets increasingly expanding, durian has contributed significantly to the economics of the people in VietNam. However, with a lot of varieties of durian but poor quality, products mainly for domestic consumption, exports are limited. Besides, the farmers here are also take risks in production and consumption of products. Especially, the fluctuation of the price and insects, process harvesting and maintaing, sale also through many intermediaries, brokers. With desire to bring a good quality product for customer, fully nutrition from Musang King durian to customer, this product impresses quality and food safety. This study will contribute to evaluating feasibility of Musang King durian in Viet Nam market through four factor product, market, oranazation, financial.
