Manufacturing Management System Demand Forecasting

Abstract

This project involves discovering a solution for manufacturing management headed towards smallto-medium scale companies. Together with it, we devise a module dedicated for demand forecasting. The first phase is to classify possible types of demand. After determining them completely, we base on various smoothing methods to figure out which one is the most suitable for a demand type and implement them. By manipulating historical sales data, this module will generate a prediction for a user-specified day(s) in the future. With this function, we hope to provide managers and strategists a better grasp on the customers’ needs, as well as a robust starting point to design an effective business plan
