Designing and Implementing Private Cloud with OpenStack

Abstract

Cloud computing (cloud computing) is now very popular because it allows users to access cloud services on the internet wherever and whenever needed. The cloud is divided into two main types, private cloud and public cloud, in which private cloud is able to provide Infrastructure As a Service (IaaS) and Platform As a Service (PaaS). IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) includes storage service, server service, virtualization service, computing service and network service. PaaS (platform as a service) includes the operating system, middleware (software between two systems that allow them to exchange information and connect with each other), and the real runtime environment. Openstack is open source software to save the cost of licensing, operating and maintaining the system. In addition, it allows to build cloud computing with many rich features. Openstack is a group of open source projects that provide key component services in the cloud such as: OpenStack Compute (virtual machine management and 22 supply module), OpenStack Image Service (manage virtual disk images), OpenStack Object Storage (hosting management), OpenStack Identity Service (authentication management), OpenStack Networking (network management), OpenStack Dashboard (providing user interface for administrators).
