From ProxyLogon to ProxyShell

Abstract

Mail server is an indispensable system of an organization or business. With the growth of cyber hackers and the explosive wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, 2021 is an important period in the security field of the enterprise sector. Accompanying the information transfer system in the company's system, ensuring the security of the mailbox is considered a key factor for the system to operate smoothly, effectively, and sustainably. In early 2021, a series of Microsoft Exchange Server vulnerabilities were announced, as a threat to businesses. Based on that, timely and accurate solutions are given as a panacea, helping businesses prevent threats. In our project, we will make studies on the series of vulnerabilities of the Microsoft Exchange Server, turning them into smart and useful for businesses using the above service. Besides, proposing some solutions, and reporting on the situation of gaps still remaining in Vietnam.
