Biiké – Free Hitchhiking Mobile App

Abstract

Vietnam is a developing country with an economy concentrated in big cities, however, the passenger transport industry still has many shortcomings. Recent studies show that ride-hailing apps are pulling users away from public transport, the number of full-time vehicles running through the app in major cities keeps skyrocketing, and congestion. Overloaded cars and parking lots are also becoming more and more serious. And above all, the problem of environmental pollution. Currently, Vietnam has nearly 40 million motorbikes and nearly 4 million cars in circulation. Many vehicles on the road have not been optimized due to empty seats. With a strong belief that one day we can change people's travel habits, contribute to optimizing the country's transportation industry, and eliminate empty rides that are too wasteful, we implement the Biiké project.
