Abstract

Pressure from family expectations is no longer a strange problem for young people, especially Generation Z (Gen Z). Although parents' expectations come from love and desire for their children to have an open and successful future, it is also a "rock" that weighs heavily on the shoulders of today's young generation. The pressures in life, specifically the parental expectations, have always existed and are normalized in society. According to clinical psychology master Le Nguyen Anh Khoi, Syracuse University in New York, the pressure of the family placing heavily on the young generation according to certain frameworks in society will make the younger generation more likely to have psychological difficulties, including depression.
