Abstract

Hip-hop is a musical genre and cultural movement that emerged in the 1970s in the Bronx, New York. Hip-hop is loved by many people because of its generous lifestyle and unique attributes. Currently, Hip-hop is not only an entertaining pastime, but it is also an art form that has a non-stop pervasive power. However, it is necessary to study and be trained in a methodical way to be able to perform those skillful dance steps. Besides, many establishments teach hip-hop dance, but only in the form of "Hip-hop" for commercial purposes, and the teaching staff is all given anonymous names, whether accredited or unqualified. While reputable centers and good teachers do not have attractive services, support programs, or care services for students or are organized, they only operate on a small scale. Since then, we - people with a passion for music, dance, and Hip-hop culture, came up with the idea to establish The Beat Studio Co., Ltd (short name: The Beat studio), a quality Hip-hop dance training center with the aspiration to build a community, a healthy playground for anyone with a passion for Hip-hop can participate and confidently express themselves. The Beat Studio is a limited liability company with two or more members; the business field is a dance studio, with the main product and service group being hip hop dance classes and training (Popping, Breaking) in online, offline, and private classes. In addition, The Beat Studio provides additional products and services such as renting rooms (for teaching classes, organizing events, etc.), organizing tournaments and competitions, and organizing Hip-hop events. The target audience of the studio is those who need to study, and practice, are passionate about Hip-hop dance, and have the need to rent a room to organize events or open teaching classes. We have built a financial plan with a timeline for the first 3 years of the company's operation and presented 3 financial scenarios with 3 different cases: optimistic, mostlikely, and pessimistic. Our calculations indicate that, in the optimistic case, we will recover our capital within 1 year. 2 years in the most-likely case and 3 years in the pessimistic. From there, we can conclude that this is a very worthwhile project.
