Abstract

Web security is becoming a crucial issue since it directly affects whether a website, particularly a corporate website, can survive. Hackers are continually honing their skills, being more creative, and being more determined as they look for new data-theft and data-compromise vulnerabilities. In this situation, the website application firewall is of utmost importance and is necessary for identifying and thwarting hacker attempts before it's too late. A WAF protects your web apps by filtering, monitoring, and blocking any harmful HTTP/S traffic going toward the application and preventing any unauthorized data from leaving the app. It does this by following a set of rules that help differentiate between legitimate and malicious transmissions.
