Organizing "The 1st National Culture Festival for ethnic groups with less than 10,000 people in Lai Chau, 2023"

Abstract

In the context of “Economic Integration” booming, the intersection and introduction of different cultures are enriching and diversifying our country. However, at the same time, it is also making some other cultures fade away and disappear. For ethnic minorities, especially the smaller the population, preserving and passing down to future generations is always an issue of concern. Therefore, the "The Culture Festival for ethnic groups with less than 10,000 people" is approved to be held in 2023 for the first time by the Government and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Lai Chau province has the honor to host and organize this national event. Despite Lai Chau being a poor mountainous province, with 20 ethnic groups living together, it always affirms itself as a leading province in implementing ethnic policies enacted by the state. Lai Chau has also successfully organized ethnic cultural festivals before, and therefore has been entrusted by the state and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize this national event this time. Through the “The Culture Festival for ethnic groups with less than 10,000 people” event, we hope to achieve the main goals set by the Government, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the People's Committee of Lai Chau province. Firstly, promoting and spreading cultural values and identities of ethnic groups less than 10,000 people, along with educating patriotic traditions, national pride, and enhancing the strength of the great national unity block. Secondly is preserving and promoting the traditional cultural identities of ethnic groups associated with tourism development for the period 2021- 2025, and towards the 20th anniversary of the separation and establishment of Lai Chau province in 2024. The 3-day event, from the 3rd to the 5th of November, with the participation of 14 ethnic groups less than 10,000 people, 11 provinces and cities with over 1,200 invited guests, delegates, domestic and international leaders. In particular, the event has the participation and support of FPT University students - the project group GRA497-G13 - throughout the event organization process to make the event more successful. With a budget of 12.405.657.000 VND, the event brings professionalism and meticulousness to the participants. Regarding communication effectiveness, the event has over 2000 published articles, thousands of interactions related to posts on Facebook. With the above results, the event has achieved its goals and motivated “the 2nd Cultural Festival for ethnic groups with less than 10,000 people” will be held in Lao Cai province. The graduation project was carried out according to FPT University's regulations and standards - including participating in organizing real events and writing a production book. The Production Book consists of VI sections, 164 pages, 17715 words (excluding tables, figures, inforgraphic and references); designed and fully met the requirements of the instructor; transparent results provided by state agencies and contractors; The Production Book is reviewed, checked for plagiarism, English grammar and chat GPT by Turnitin, Grammarly, Zero-GPT, with a result of 6%.
