SunSpeak Design an application that supports speech therapy in children with Developmental Language Disorders (DLD) at Nang Mai Inclusion Support Center

Abstract

This thesis presents the development of SunSpeak, an application designed to provide language intervention support for children with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) at the Nắng Mai Inclusion Support Center. This project aims to create a home-based language intervention solution for children facing DLD, allowing them to improve their language and overall communication abilities. The study begins by exploring the challenges children with DLD face in language development and the importance of early intervention. The research further investigates the existing speech therapy methods and the limitations of traditional approaches. Based on the findings, the SunSpeak application is developed to provide a user-friendly and engaging platform for children with DLD to practice and enhance their language skills outside of therapy sessions. The SunSpeak application utilizes interactive and engaging activities to target different aspects of language development, such as vocabulary expansion, sentence formation, and phonological awareness. By incorporating evidence-based therapeutic techniques and personalized learning pathways, SunSpeak aims to provide tailored interventions to meet the unique needs of each child. In conclusion, SunSpeak represents an innovative and accessible solution for language intervention in the home setting, enabling children with DLD to receive targeted support in their language development journey.
